Online charterers’ declarations
This tool enables our charterer members or their brokers to report new entries for charterers’ liability cover directly from their own desks. This reduces workload significantly and provides a full overview of coverage.

Tailor-made ancillary covers
Charterers’ entries may be adapted through a vast variety of additional covers, all with the possibility of tailoring to meet the specific need of each member. Examples are specific extra cover for cargo, property or extended contractual liability.

Security and service for members
The financial performance of Skuld’s charterers’ book is good, with continuous positive technical results enabling us to cater to members’ specific needs.

Standard P&I cover for charterers include the following main risks:

Cargo
Liability for cargo loss, shortage, damage, extra handling costs or delay occurring in relation to the carriage of cargo on the entered vessel. By special arrangement, the cover can be extended to include claims arising under a contract of through-carriage.

Persons
Liability for loss of life and personal injury in respect of persons, e.g. passengers, stevedores and other personnel on board required for the operation of the vessel.

Collision and contact liability
Liability arising out of collision with another vessel, a fixed or floating object or property (e.g. docks, buoys etc.) so far as not insured under another policy. Further, liability with respect to damage to any other vessel or property thereon without actual contact is included in the cover. Full collision liability is available.

Fines
Fines imposed by government/authorities in respect of short or over delivery of cargo, cargo documents, pollution, smuggling, breach of regulations, confiscation and custom fines, etc.
