Patrick has a BA from the Shanghai International Studies University and a LLM from the Southampton University, UK. He Joined Skuld Oslo office in 1997 and was appointed Head of Skuld Far East Syndicate in 1999.

Before joining Skuld, Patrick was Deputy Managing Director in China P&I Club, General Manager of the Commercial Department in COSCO, and lastly a Partner in a leading Chinese law firm heading the marine team. Patrick has a wealth of experience gained in the claims, marine insurance and commercial environments. He leads Skuld’s dynamic team in Hong Kong serving its members and clients in the region. 

Nicola Mason ( LLB, LLM) is a British Barrister and a CEDR Accredited Mediator. After leaving the Bar she joined an English P&I Club and thereafter a leading law firm in Hong Kong before joining Skuld in December 1994 where she is now Senior Vice President Deputy Head of Syndicate heading the claims team.

She also acts as the Regional Casualty Coordinator and in that role has handled several high profile casualties such as the Hebei Spirit and Neftegaz-67. With respect to FD&D matters she has been dealing with a number of legally significant cases such as the Achileas (House of Lords) and others in various jurisdictions that are being heard at the Supreme Court level.

Christian joined Skuld in 2004 as Lawyer. In 2012 he was appointed Vice President Claims. He has a LLB from Southampton University, European Legal Studies from the University of Vienna and a LLM from University College London. He qualified as an English solicitor in 2002. Prior to joining Skuld he served with Holmes Hardingham Solicitors, London and Clyde & Co Solicitors, Hong Kong. He speaks fluent German and English.

Wei joined Skuld in 2008 as Lawyer. He has an LLB from Dalian Maritime University, an LLM from Dalian Maritime University, and a PhD from the University of Exeter, UK. He is a qualified Chinese lawyer and served with Beijing Hai Tong & Partners before joining Skuld. His book 'The Measurement of Damages in Carriage of Goods by Sea' (in English) is expected to be published by the Law Press next year. He has a responsibility of marketing in the region.

Rita Lau joined Skuld (Far East) in December 2009. Rita has a LLB from the University of Liverpool and PCLL from the University of Hong Kong. She qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor in 1999. Prior to joining Skuld she worked with Johnson Stokes and Master as senior associate, specialising in Shipping and Commercial Litigation. Rita speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Sebastian joined Skuld Oslo in 2005 as Claims Executive, Senior Claims Executive in 2009 and Senior Underwriting Executive in 2010. He is educated Master Mariner and holds a Bsc in Nautical Science from Chalmers University of Technology, Maritime Law from University of Oslo and Marine Insurance Law from University of Stockholm. He is currently finalising his Master in Marine Insurance and Risk Management. Sebastian has also served with several shipping companies, for instance Wallenius, Transatlantic, Gorthon, Star Cruisers and Royal Caribbean where he served as a 1st Officer.

Capt Dubey joined Skuld in 2010 as Claims Executive. He is an Extra Master Mariner. He has an LLM degree from Southampton University. He was Acting Dean of Saminundra Institute of Maritime Studies in India where he developed a number of training programmes for Masters and senior officers. Binoy also worked as a Master for Fednav Ltd Canada, gaining extensive ice navigation experience which was put to good use in his book 'Ice Navigation Managing Cold Climate Risks'.

Jenny Yeung joined Skuld as Senior Secretary and was promoted to Office Manager in 2000. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Thames Valley University, UK. Jenny has extensive experience in all Skuld’s support functions.

Mary joined Skuld in 2002. She has a High Diploma in Business Administration. She acts as executive assistant to the team.

Amelia joined Skuld in 1999. She supports the claims team and credit control

Rachel served with another P&I Club in Hong Kong before joining Skuld in 2007. She has an HD in Translation & Interpretation from City University of Hong Kong, an MBA from University of Leicester, a Diploma in Legal Studies from University of Hong Kong and is an associate member of ANZIIF (CIP). She handles personal injury claims.

Michelle has a Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering from Hong King University of Science and Technology. She is finalising MA in Translation and Interpretation from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She joined Skuld in the fall of 2010 and provides claims, IT and administrative support.

Nicole joined Skuld in September 2009 and supports the claims team. Before joining Skuld, she had over seven years’ clerical experiences with Citi Bank.
